About Your Visit (Dare Skywalk) FAQs

Following updated Government guidance, visitors attending the Dare Skywalk will no longer be required to present their NHS COVID Pass to gain entry or wear face coverings inside. Visitors who wish to continue to wear face coverings, are able to do so.

The safety of our guests and staff is of the upmost importance and we will continue to uphold the additional deep cleaning measures in place throughout the Stadium, The Dare Skywalk and Tottenham Experience to ensure the highest standards are kept.

 

 

Will I be required to bring photo ID?

The minimum age to take part in a Climb is 8 years old and all participants must be at least 1.2 metres in height. Under 18s must be with an adult and the adult-to-child ratios are:

  • 1 adult to accompany 2 minors between the ages of 8-17
  • 1 adult to accompany 4 minors between the ages of 12-17
  • 1 adult to accompany 6 minors between the ages of 15-17

Visitors may be asked for proof of age if we consider them to be under the age of 18. Please bring a valid form of ID (valid driver's licence and/or passport - photocopies can be accepted) with you on your visit. Any visitors who are unable to show a valid form of ID may be refused entry and a refund will not be given.

 

 

Where can I leave my belongings when I am on the climb?

Complimentary, small lockers are available in Basecamp for loose items such as cameras, wallets and keys. No personal belongings or loose items can be taken on Dare Skywalk, so you will be asked to store away your items securely once you have checked in.

You can bring a mobile phone with you but it will remain in the possession of the Climb Guide upon your ascent and descent, as phones can only be used once you have reached the viewing platform on the roof.

All items are left at your own risk and you must bear this and the limitations of the locker space in mind when deciding which items to bring with you on the day of your visit.

Please don't bring large bags unless unavoidable. A limited cloakroom is available in the Tottenham Experience Store and any larger items must be dropped there before checking in at the Dare Skywalk Basecamp. Please see here for more information about our baggage policy.

 

How long does the experience last?

Before arriving for your climb, you will need to have completed the waiver form for you and any supervised minors in your group. The links for this can be found in your confirmation email, which you will have been sent in advance.

The Dare Skywalk experience itself lasts 90 minutes. This includes the pre-climb safety briefing and your de-kitting after returning from your climb. Please arrive 20 minutes before your scheduled climb time. This will allow time to check-in, use the complimentary lockers and get kitted up, before embarking on the experience.

Please be aware that we are unable to refund or reschedule climbs due to lateness.

Should you wish to visit and make a purchase from the Tottenham Experience shop, please check the opening hours here before booking. Visitors who have booked to complete the last climb of the day will only have 15 minutes to collect photos and depart.

 

How long does it take to get to the summit from check-in?

It takes approximately 45 minutes to reach the summit from the point of check-in. During this time, you will check in, kit up and receive a safety briefing from your Climb Guide. You will then make your way up to the glass walkway around the iconic golden cockerel.

 

What time should I arrive in advance of the experience starting?

Please arrive at the Dare Skywalk Basecamp 20 minutes before your scheduled climb time. This will allow time to check-in, use the complimentary lockers and get kitted up before embarking on the experience.

 

What is a Waiver Form?

Due to the thrill-seeking nature of the Dare Skywalk experience, all guests taking part will be required to complete a waiver form, which explains any potential risks involved.

You are responsible for ensuring that you and all of your supervised children named in your Declaration and Waiver Form are in a fit state of health to participate in the Dare Skywalk Climb and are able to undertake the Dare Skywalk Climb in a manner which will not put at risk your own health and safety, or the health and safety of the other climbers.

Be assured that the safety of our guests is of utmost importance to us. You'll be kitted out with mandatory safety equipment and will be accompanied by a trained Climb Guide for the entirety of your experience. 

All information provided on the Waiver Form will be kept in accordance with GDPR regulations.

 

What happens if I am late?

We will try our best to accommodate late arrivals - however, due to the nature of the experience this isn't always possible. We are unable to offer refunds if you miss your timeslot due to a late arrival, so please leave plenty of time when travelling from a distance.

 

How much time is there in-between bathroom breaks?

There are toilet facilities located within Basecamp which you can use any time before kitting up and after you have returned to Basecamp and de-kitted at the end of the experience. This is approximately 90 minutes. You will not be able to use toilet facilities whilst on the route.

 

Where does Dare Skywalk start and finish?

All Dare Skywalk experiences begin and end in the Skywalk Basecamp, which is located on Park Lane Square behind the Tottenham Experience. It can be accessed via the lift or stairs next to Door 2.

 

What should I wear?

Please wear comfortable clothing. You will be given either a Climb Suit or Gilet at Basecamp depending on the weather, and you will wear your own clothes underneath these.

The Climb Suit is a one-piece boiler suit which you'll wear over your own comfortable clothing. The Gilet is a zip-up, sleeveless jacket which goes over your own clothing. The clothing worn underneath your Climb Suit shouldn't restrict your movement, obstruct your vision, lead to overheating in warm weather or become entangled in your safety equipment. For this reason, please don't wear skirts or dresses on your visit.

You will be given shoes to wear on the day but please bring a pair of socks. Socks are available to purchase in the Tottenham Experience, should you need to purchase them on the day. Please leave enough time to purchase these before you check in at Basecamp.

 

What footwear should I wear?

We'll give you all the appropriate climb equipment you'll need on the day, including shoes. You must wear socks, so please bring a pair with you. 

We also recommend bringing hats and gloves for colder weather conditions.

 

What equipment will I need?

We'll equip you with all the outdoor gear you need for your climb based on the day's weather conditions and our health & safety essentials. No personal belongings or loose items can be taken on Dare Skywalk. You will be asked to store any such items away securely once you have checked in.

 

Can I take a camera?

Cameras, including GoPros, cannot be taken on Dare Skywalk. This is to safeguard against anything falling during the experience. You can bring a mobile phone with you but it must remain in the possession of the Climb Guide upon your ascent and descent, as phones can only be used once you have reached the viewing platform on the roof. Alternatively, you can store these away in the lockers provided at Basecamp. Our photographically-trained Climb Guides will capture photos of you during your climb. Photo packages can be pre-purchased or bought on the day of your visit.

We provide secure lockers for you to keep your camera or any loose items in during your climb. Our lockers are small, so please only bring what you need.

 

Can I take my phone?

You are welcome to bring a mobile phone with you, but it must remain in the possession of the Climb Guide upon your ascent and descent, as phones can only be used once you have reached the viewing platform on the roof. Alternatively, you can store these away in the lockers provided at Basecamp. Our photographically-trained Climb Guides will capture photos of you during your climb. Photo packages can be pre-purchased or bought on the day of your visit.

Can I take medication with me on the climb?

Please notify us in advance if you or any person in your booking needs to take essential medication on the climb (eg. asthma inhaler, diabetic medication or nourishment).

Essential medication, such as inhalers or diabetic medication, can be taken on the climb, but will need to be given to the Climb Guide who will carry this for you. Please speak to our staff on the day.

If you have any concerns, please let us know and a member of the Skywalk team will get back to you.

 

Can I eat and drink while taking part in the experience?

All food and beverage items (unless required by diabetic climbers and arranged with a Climb Guide in advance) are to be stored away securely before your climb.

 

Will Dare Skywalk happen in bad weather?

Dare Skywalk will take place in all weather conditions when safe to do so. If the weather is extreme and conditions become unsafe (for example, if there are gales, lightning, heavy snow or ice), Dare Skywalk will close. Please check our social media channels for the most up to date information. 

In extreme weather, Dare Skywalk experiences will be cancelled, and we'll book you in for the next available climb. In these extreme circumstances, someone from our team will be in touch.

 

Will I get a refund if I don't want to take part due to bad weather?

If Dare Skywalk is still open on the day, then unfortunately we cannot offer refunds. If Dare Skywalk is closed and experiences are cancelled by us because of extreme weather, we'll book you in for the next available climb. In these extreme circumstances, someone from our team will be in touch.

 

What happens if my experience is cancelled?

Can I propose to my partner on the roof of the Stadium?

Yes, we would love to help you make your Dare Skywalk Experience as memorable as possible. Please inform us ahead of time so that we can ensure everything runs smoothly for you, and a member of the Skywalk team will get back to you. You will need to give the ring to your Climb Guide, who will keep it safe for you until the opportune moment.

Your opportunity for proposal will be once you have reached the viewing platform and your Climb Guide will also be on hand to take pictures. If you wish to find out more information about proposing on the Dare Skywalk, please register your details and a member of the team will get back to you.

 

Can I drink alcohol before or on the experience?

Please do not consume alcohol before your climb. Dare Skywalk climbers cannot be under the influence of alcohol or substances (legal or illegal) which would make it unsafe for them to take part in the climb, or to fully understand the safety rules, policies, instructions and briefings given to them on the day of the climb by the Climb Guides. You may be asked to take a breathalyzer test if we think you have consumed alcohol.

We now offer Prosecco, which can be purchased when your book your ticket (link to ticket page) or paid for on the day, to enjoy on the roof during your climb. This is limited to one glass per adult and is a measure of 125ml which is within the safe drink drive limit.

 

What items are prohibited?

You won't be permitted to take any belongings with you on the climb other than the following:

  • Your mobile phone (these are permitted on the climb but will remain in the possession of the Climb Guide upon your ascent and descent, as phones can only be used once you have reached the viewing platform on the roof. Alternatively, you can store these away in the lockers provided at Basecamp)
  • Your spectacles, sunglasses and hearing aid, which must be secure and not loose fitting.
  • Essential medication, which is permitted at our discretion. While the medication shall be carried securely by a Dare Skywalk Climb Guide, neither Tottenham Hotspur nor any operator will be responsible for the medication or the administering of it.

The following items are strictly prohibited on your Climb:

  • Any item which is dangerous or may be used as a weapon, or may cause damage to the Dare Skywalk structure or Stadium
  • Food and beverages (unless required by diabetic Climbers and arranged with a Climb Guide in advance)
  • Sound and/or video recording equipment, cameras, handbags, umbrellas, headphones, MP3 players, iPods and any other personal items
